So that was day three, the above names will now be under pressure to keep up their high point scoring results and the people in 25th position onwards will be keeping their fingers crossed for some good draws to try and climb up the leader board.
Unfortunately for some the final will have to wait to next year but for others there is a glimmer of hope, these next two days are going to be exciting, the fishing maybe a bit harder but it is the same for everyone and those that have realised that and have got on with it stand more of a chance of making it to the banks of Jennys on Saturday more, than those who spend 90% of the match moaning about their peg.
So there is two days match fishing remaining, stay tuned for the latest updates. Cheers, Kirsty Preston Festival Report day four

So the stage is set for the final day, the top ten have had a great week so far and unless there is a major shake up their place in the final is guaranteed, but as for the remaining 14 places, watch this space as we could see some surprises.
Harry so far has had an unblemished result going in to the final day but as we have seen many times before a festival can be won or lost at the draw bag on the final day! Darren, Adam & Derek are all nipping at Harry’s feet as far as section wins go, we are set for an exciting final day.Stay tuned and we will have our festival winners and Parkdean Master finalists for you in the morning.Cheers, Kirsty
Day Five - The Final!
So we have reached the final day of the festival and it has been an exciting week, Mr Billing has perfect results but if he drops any points today there are a couple of anglers that could grasp victory from him.
When the final results are put on the system tonight and “enter” is pressed for the last time the computer will work out the dropped result and then we will have our Preston Innovation Festival winners and our 2008 Parkdean Masters finalists. Read on for the catch action from the final day of the festival.

D Section Trewaters
No catch info from the final day on Trewaters I’m afraid (blame Clint!!) but we do have the overalls. In an ideal world these lakes wouldn’t have been used until the spring festivals so we didn’t expect great weights from such an immature lake but it has withstood the pressure well with the weights being tight and consistent across all of the sections.
Ken Oldham was the lake winner on peg 54 with 59lb 10oz. Second with 40lb 12oz was Will Raison on peg 37. Third was Tommy Hiller on peg 36 with 38lb 8oz and the next best weight was from Callum Dicks on peg 31 with 25lb 12oz.
Section Winners
Ken Oldham 9 points 59lb 10oz
Tommy Hiller 9 points 38lb 8oz
Marcus Harrison 9 points 13lb
Tommy Hiller 9 points 9lb 7oz
E Section Porth
Limited catch information from Porth today also (blame Benjamin!!) but again the overalls were as follows, Chris Jenkinson was the lake winner on peg 38 with 14lb 10oz caught on the long pole. Second with 14lb 3oz was Gary Webber on peg 18, Gary caught on the waggler with maggot & caster. Pemb Wrighting was third on peg 32 with 13lb 15oz and the next best weight came from Pete Bennett on peg 33 with 11lb 8oz.

Well what a close festival and what a difference a dropped result can make in your overall standings. A massive well done to our festival winner Harry Billing who has completed the week with a spotless result of 5 section wins.

Myself and the fishery team would like to offer a huge thank you to Ricky Teal & Preston Innovations for once again sponsoring the festival and I’m sure if you were there at the presentation on Friday night you will agree that it was an amazing line up of prizes, probable one of the best we have ever seen so thank you once again for your tremendous support and generosity.
We would like to thank all the anglers that took part in the festival in particular those that have constantly expressed their thanks and support, this has been a very tough time for our fishery recently and we know it has not fished as well as in previous festivals but all the 2009 events will be going ahead as planned and we will be doing a lot of work over the winter to start the path to recovery. So it is the end of one event but the start of our biggest match of the year, the Parkdean Masters £25,000 one day final.
For the above 24 names it could be one of the longest nights possible as they eagerly await the final tomorrow, there were a few very surprised anglers when their names were read out at the presentation but they are all very deserved of their place and this is one of the most exciting line ups we have ever seen, we wish all of them the best of luck and we will be updating you with the results shortly, do you have any favourites for the Parkdean Master 2008?
