Fishing Information call 01726 862519
As part of the extensive revamp of the Angling Times/Van Den Eynde Clubman scheme, Angling Times and Bait-Tech have secured a sensational deal with White Acres for a special three-day festival at the Cornish complex exclusively for Clubman members.
The Bait-Tech Classic will run from Tuesday July 20 until Thursday July 22 and is the ideal mid-summer break for a group of mates looking to get away from it all without entering into the big match festival scene.
You’ll be fishing against fellow club anglers for great prizes and cash all within the confines of White Acres well-stocked lakes both on and off-site and it couldn’t be cheaper with a four man caravan costing as little as £145 per person.
This price covers a full week’s stay at White Acres starting on Saturday July 17 and finishing the following Saturday July 24. Match dates will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday leaving you with four spare days on your hands to do what you like from getting some serious practice in to a few well-earned beers.
You might even want to watch the Fish O’Mania final with a jar or two in the White Acres bar when you arrive on the Saturday or hit nearby Newquay for the legendary nightlife - the choice is yours! The presentation will be on Thursday night in the White Acres bar leaving you the evening to get stuck into the booze to celebrate or drown your sorrows!
Venues to be used
Day one will see the 60 anglers split into two groups of 30. One will fish nearby Trewaters and the other the Twin Oaks Lake on site. These groups will then swap on the following day to fish the other water. The final day will take all 60 to Porth Reservoir just a 10 minute drive from White Acres. This will have an overall payout as listed above plus section payouts.
Deciding the section you fish
Anglers will assemble for the draw on Tuesday morning and form a queue for either Twin Oaks or Trewaters Lakes. There will be 30 pegs in each. Those who draw Twin Oaks will fish here on day one and then swap to Trewaters on day two, the draw following exactly the same lines. At Porth all 60 pegs will be in the bag and the draw will run as per any normal open match.
Scoring
Anglers will score a point for winning their section down to 5 points for coming last in section. These points will then be added up at the end of the week with the angler having the lowest section score winning. In the event of a tie on points section countback will be used, then aggregate weight.
