White Acres Specimen Fishing Rules
- Day and night fishing to be paid for prior to fishing. If monies are collected from the bank you will be charged double.
- Unhooking mats and 36-inch landing nets are COMPULSORY on specimen lakes.
- Fish at marked pegs only, not between the pegs.
- No reserving pegs by leaving tackle or bivvys in the swims. If tackle is left unattended it will be removed after one hour by fisheries staff.
- TWO RODS ONLY TO BE USED AT ANY ONE TIME
- 48 hours on each peg. This depends on the number of anglers on the complex (fisheries staff discretion.)
- Barbless hooks to be used at all times - NO EXCEPTIONS - micro barbed hooks are not barbless! No trebles. Maximum size 4. Minimum size 10.
- No bent hook rigs, beach caster method.
- No retaining fish at any time, ie. sacks or keepnets. All fish to be returned after weighing.
- A mimimum line strength of 12lb. No pole fishing.
- No heavy baiting, no nuts,peas or beans. No live baiting, plugs or spinners for catfish.
- No litter to be left in the swim whatsoever. Discarded bait and litter encourage vermin.
- Any problems regarding the fish or fishery to be reported to the fishery staff.
- Please do not damage trees or shrubs.
- Treat your neighbours with respect.
- Bivvying up on specimen lakes only.
- All anglers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult if night fishing.
- An independent angler must witness carp or catfish of the week (not family).
- No responsibility will be accepted for loss, damage or injury however caused.
- NO fixed leads of any description.
- All method feeders must be free running to a bead.
- All aspects of the rules are at the sole discretion of the fishery staff.
Please make sure all rigs are safe and not fixed, all rigs must be free running
to ensure the quality of the fish and fishing.
