Welcome to the White Acres Bait Tech Festival 2015. There are 115 anglers fishing over 5 days in 6 peg sections on lakes Pollawyn, Twin Oaks,Trelawney/Jennys, Trewaters, and Bolingey.

The arrival weekend of the festival was a warm and dry day, fingers crossed it will hold for the rest of the week. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Bait Tech for sponsoring the festival.

Day One

‘A’ section, Pollawyn
Today’s winner on Pollawyn was Neil Richards on peg 29 with 83lb 6oz. Callum Dicks on peg 22 finished in second place weighing in at 82lb 8oz. Finishing third on peg 16 with a weight of 69lb 4oz was Giles Cochrane. Michael Rogerson took fourth place on peg 36 weighing in at 65lb 4oz.

‘B’ Section, Twin Oaks
In first place on peg 20 was Macauly Pearson with a weight of 96lb 12oz, Macauly fished meat on the short pole. Andy Geldart took second place on peg 27 with a weight of 83lb 4oz. Finishing in third place was Gary Webber on peg 16 with 82lb 9oz fishing bomb and bread. With a weight of 77lb 2oz Chris Albiston finished fourth place on peg 23.

With a weight of 142lb 3oz Paul Holland secured himself first place on Jenny’s peg 15. Adam Wakelin finished in second place with a weight of 115lb 10oz on peg 8 Trelawney. In third place was Shaun Cooke on peg 10 Trelawney with a weight of 110lb 3oz. With a weight of 103lb 11oz was Cameron Hughes on peg 7 Jenny’s.

Jason LeBosquet took first place today on Trewaters with a weight of 105lb on peg 37. Jason fished meat at 16 metres. With 66lb 8oz James Howarth on peg 40 with and Paul Christie on peg 32 took joint second place. On peg 31 Steve Martin finished in fourth place with a weight of 63lb.

In second place Stephen Richards weighed in at 155lb 4oz on peg 48, he fished meat on the short pole. Colin Dumphy finished third on peg 5 with a weight of 142lb 2oz. On peg 11 Adam Richards took fourth place with 134lb.

Today’s winner on Twin Oaks was Callum Dicks on peg 13 with 133lb. Callum fished bomb and meat. Giles Cochrane on peg 20 finished in second place weighing in at 120lb, he caught at 5 metres and down the edge on meat and caster. Finishing third on peg 16 with a weight of 113lb 13oz was Barry Killinger. Nick Jones took fourth place on peg 15 weighing in at 104lb 10oz.

Mark Eves took first place today on Bolingey with a whopping weight of 207lb on peg 27. Mark fished bomb and bread and down the edge with meat. Taking second place on peg 46 with a weight of 167lb was John Whincup, John fished long with meat. Finishing third on peg 48 was Stephen Barraclough who weighed in at 158lb 2oz, he fished long and short with meat. On peg 11 Peter Currell finished in fourth place with a weight of 152lb 12oz. Peter caught on meat and maggot.

Finishing third on peg 9 Jenny’s with a weight of 89lb 8oz was Callum Dicks. Nigel Cornwell took fourth place on peg 15 Jenny’s weighing in at 84lb 8oz.

Finishing in third place was Bob Jarvis on peg 54 with 54lb 5oz. With a weight of 52lb 0oz Chris Hancock finished in fourth place on peg 20.

With a weight of 155lb 10oz Kelvin Acton secured himself first place on peg 31 fishing long pole with meat. Adrian Higginbottom finished in second place with a weight of 155lb 2oz, Adrian was on peg 48 and fished meat long and short. In third place was Tom Potter on peg 11 with a weight of 150lb 12oz, he fished meat down the edge. Chris Fox finished fourth with a weight of 147lb 4oz on peg 27.

Day Five

Well we have come to the end of this year’s Bait Tech festival 2015.The weather this week has been challenging as it has barley stopped raining for a second, but this hasn’t stopped some great weights coming in. Bolingey had its biggest weight this week of 281lb 8oz from peg 37 well done to Martin Holmes for that one. Let’s see how the anglers fished on their last day…

A section, Bolingey

Today’s winner on Bolingey was Martin Holmes on peg 37 with the biggest weight of the week a whopping 281lb 8oz. Lee Edwards on peg 35 finished in second place weighing in at 268lb 2oz. Finishing third on peg 33 with a weight of 157lb 14oz was Mark Cullerton. Barry Killinger took fourth place on peg 31 weighing in at 152lb.
