Due to the fantastic response and high demand for the winter veteran’s festival we have taken the opportunity to increase the number of attendees to accommodate more entries.

This festival will now be held over 5 days festival, still starting Monday 4th Nov – Fri 8th Nov 2019. Dropping your worst result, your best 4 matches will count. In the event of a tie your 5th result will then come into play and if then there is a tie then the result will go to overall weight.

We will announce the lakes and rotation later in the year so we can offer you the best fishing experience.

Due to this increase in numbers and wanting to keep the 24 pegs per lake, we have some spare places available so if you know anybody that would be interested in fishing this festival, or have any queries please give me a call.

Welcome to the Winter Veterans festival 2018. We have 94 anglers over the age of 55 fishing over 4 days in 6 peg sections rotating between Twin Oaks, Trelawney, Jennys, Acorn and Canal, Pollawyn. Unfortunately the weather has taken a turn for the worse and we have seen the first frost of the autumn with temperatures dropping to -2 overnight and therefore we have seen a severe frost this morning which has slowed the fishing up dramatically although this has not managed to dampened the anglers sprits too much.
