Every week of the year, Anglers staying at White Acres have a chance to qualify for a mini festival by winning the Gold, Silver or Thursday Rover match. This week we held the 2004 Gold winners week festival and even though we are nearly in November the fishing was better than ever.
Overall champion on day 1 was Darren Stayne who has recently moved to Cornwall, Darren drew peg 21 Jenny’s and fished the waggler at 25 meters feeding 8mm pellet and weighed an impressive 137lb 06oz.
2nd on the day was Keith Stone From Wigan who drew peg 16 Jennys and fished the long pole with pellet and weighed 121lb 10oz and 3rd was Pete Wild fishing for Bristol Top Kit, Pete fished un-fancied peg 11 and fished the long pole to the island and weighed a brilliant weight of 103lb 02oz.
