It is supposedly meant to be our Walls Summer Solero Ladies Festival but you couldn’t get further away from summer if you tried! There are eighteen ladies braving the elements this week and fishing in the 3-day festival, we only hope they do not get blown of their boxes.
Although there is £1000 up for grabs this is a friendly festival and the ladies, especially those that have been supporting it from the first year, look forward to catching up with old friends and making new ones.
As always the festival is fished on the “new” lakes consisting of Acorn & both sides of Twin Oaks. Diabolical weather has prevented the ladies from getting stuck in and practising over the weekend so by Tuesday morning the ladies were eager to start fishing.
At the first draw things looked promising for the day and was dry with only small showers predicted for the day ahead.
