  Van Den Eynde Festival 2006

This is the first of the White Acres festival programme for the year. The weekend leading up to the festival was very wet although the temperature had risen slightly after an incredibly cold winter for Cornwall. The anglers that chose to practise were battered by wind and rain but despite the horrendous weather plenty of fish were still caught.

On the first draw for the week Clint explained about our new festival bait measurements making sure everyone was aware was that they needed our new tubs and that these were the only containers that were allowed to have bait in ten minutes before the start of the match, with this clear in everyone’s mind the draw went ahead and the anglers then went off (some happier that others!) to face the wind and rain on their first match of the festival.

The rain hammered down until the start of the match when it eased but the strong southwesterly wind continued throughout the whole of the match.
