Welcome to the White Acres Milo Festival 2015. We have a full house this week, with just 1 last minute cancellation, there are 179 anglers fishing over 5 days in 9 peg sections rotating daily on lakes Pollawyn, Twin Oaks/Trelawney, Canal/Acorn/Trewaters, Porth and Bolingey.

Last week’s Dynamite Baits festival saw some brilliant weights and great weather so pressure is on for this week to match up. The sun has been shining so far so fingers crossed it will stay put.

Day One

‘A’ Section, Pollawyn

Today’s lake winner on Pollawyn was Des Shipp fishing pellet feeder and meat shallow from peg 18 bagging himself 142lb 2oz. Mark Fox on peg 26 finished in second place weighing in at 114lb 8oz.
Finishing third on peg 25 with a weight of 89lb 6oz was Sam Powell. Jack Harness took fourth place on peg 17 weighing in at 86lb 10oz fishing meat shallow.

In first place on peg 12 Twin Oaks was Darren Cox with a weight of 134lb 2oz, Darren fished pellet and short pole with meat. Paul Holland took second place on peg 18 Trelawney with a weight of 118lb 10oz. Finishing in third place was James Wilson on peg 18 Twin Oaks with 110lb 6oz.With a weight of 104lb Nigel Bond finished in fourth place on peg 19 Twin Oaks fishing worm down the edge.

With a weight of 106lb 8oz Martin Howard secured himself first place on Canal fishing meat short and down the edge for F1’s from peg 4. Matt Grey finished in second place with a weight of 98lb on peg 13 Acorn fishing method and short with meat for Carp. In third place was Steve Platt on peg 19 Acorn with a weight of 94lb, Steve caught with paste bagging himself mainly Carp. With a weight of 87lb was Brian Loader on Trewaters fishing bomb with 6mm pellets and meat down the edge from peg 49.

Ricky Dennis took first place today on Porth with a weight of 28lb 3oz fishing pellet feeder with an 8mm pop up boilie from peg 88, well done Ricky! With 22lb 5oz Andy Pounder on peg 35 took second place fishing bomb over the pole line. On peg 84 Matt Grant finished in fourth place with a weight of 18lb 7oz. Matt fished the method feeder.

In second place Micky Williams weighed in at 171lb 4oz on peg 40, he fished long with pellet.Jamie Hawkins finished third on peg 46 with a weight of 169lb 10oz fishing pellet long. On peg 42 John Whincup took fourth place with 164lb 10oz in the margins and at 5 metres with pellet.

With 193lb 14oz today’s winner on Twin Oaks was Rob Jones on peg 14 fishing pellet shallow and down the edge with meat. Sam Powell on peg 10 Trelawney finished in second place weighing in at 142lb 5oz. Finishing third on peg 35 Twin Oaks with a weight of 142lb 4oz was Tom Wallis catching meat short and down the edge. Neil Richards took fourth place on peg 12 Twin Oaks weighing in at 141lb.

Marcus Harrison took second place on peg 19 Trewaters with a weight of 79lb 12oz fishing meat down the edge. Finishing in third place was Richie Hull on peg 29 Trewaters with 73lb 4oz.
With a weight of 69lb 3oz Darren Cox finished in fourth place on peg 45 Trewaters fishing method feeder and meat at 5 metres.

Matt Grant took first place today on Bolingey with 157lb 8oz fishing in the margins with corn over pellet from peg 32. With 136lb on peg 27 Jamie Wilde caught with pellet long and short. On peg 42 Tim Russell finished in fourth place with a weight of 130lb 4oz fishing meat at 5 metres. With 125lb 4oz Jason Benning and Paul Tidball finished in joint fourth place, Jason from peg 36 and Paul on peg 46.

Des Shipp on peg 47 Trewaters won the lake with 89lb 8oz fishing at 6 metres with meat. Mark Fox finished in second place weighing in at 85lb 13oz fishing pellet feeder and at 5 metres with meat from peg 29 Trewaters. Finishing third on peg 9 Acorn with a weight of 85lb 12oz was Matthew Edwards fishing caster long. Graham Collins took fourth place on peg 33 Trewaters with 79lb 13oz. Graham caught with meat at 5 metres and corn down the edge.

Steven Eyre on peg 84 finished in second place weighing in at 22lb 12oz, Steven caught on method feeder with boilies. Finishing third on peg 37 with a weight of 21lb 6oz was Brian Clark. Tom Wallis took fourth place on peg 85 weighing in at 18lb 7oz.

Finishing in third place was Alex Hulme on peg 21 with 156lb 10oz fishing method and corn in the margins. With a weight of 149lb 6oz Clive Wynn finished fourth place fishing from peg 28.

Finishing third on peg 11 with a weight of 140lb 6oz was Jack Harness. Jack caught long with pellet and meat down the margin. Mark Fox took fourth place on peg 1 weighing in at 137lb 10oz.

On peg 45 Trewaters Liz Crewe finished in third place with a weight of 69lb 15oz. With 69lb 9oz Tony Armitage finished in fourth at Trewaters from peg 19

Well that’s the end of the Milo festival 2015 and it’s been a great week with it fishing consistently well from day one. Competition was tight with Paul Holland, Darren Cox and Des Shipp all winning their section 4 days in a row but by the last day everything changed when Jamie Wilde won his section on Acorn peg 13 which took him to the top of the board.

Milo Festival 2015 Winners

Congratulations to Jamie Wilde for winning the Milo festival taking home his £3,000 prize to go with the £25,000 he won here in October 2014 on the Parkdean Masters. Finishing a close second place was Rob Jones with a total weight of 425lb 5oz and in third place was John Whincup with a huge overall weight of 613lb 1oz well done guys. The biggest weight of the week went to Paul Holland for his massive catch of 230lb 12oz from peg 38 Bolingey.

A big thank you to Milo for once again sponsoring our festival here at White Acres, the continued support year on year is very much appreciated.
