Day One

‘A’ Section, Pollawyn

Today’s winner on Pollawyn was Harry Billing peg 34 with 53lb 3oz; Harry fished 11 meters with maggots over groundbait. In form David Gibbs managed second place with 48lb 11oz from peg 19, David swapped between the pellet feeder and margins with maggots. Finishing third on peg 20 with a weight of 47lb 14oz was John Pantry and Neil Edwards took fourth place on peg 13 weighing in at 35lb 1oz.

‘B’ Section, Trelawney

First place on Trelawney was Tony Buttler from peg 22; Tony fished the pole at 5 meters with chopped worm and caster. Second place on the day was Chris Hancock from peg 10, Chris fished the caster short, Tony Oatley finished in third place with 48lb 10oz from peg 16 and finishing in fourth place was Dick Clegg with 45lb 2oz from peg 12 fishing meat short.

‘C’ Section, Jennys

First place on Jennys was Eric Searle from peg 7 with 60lb, Eric fished the feeder with meat. Second on the day was Malcolm Johnson from peg 16 with 44lb 8oz, Malcolm fished the pellet feeder, Third place was Simon Gould from peg 3 with 41lb 9oz, Simon fished the feeder all day and fourth place was Andy Dare from peg 14 with 40lb 2oz, Andy fished the long and short pole with caster.

‘D’ Section, Python

Steve Warner took first place today on Python with a weight of 46lb 8oz from peg 14 in the wides, Steve fished the hybrid feeder with dead red maggots. Second place on the day was Roy Beasley on peg 35 with 45lb 1oz; Roy caught on the meat at 2+2. Third place went to Mick Gibbs from peg 13, Mick caught on feeder with a popped up orange skinz and forth place went to John Brownlie from peg 10 with 39lb 12oz fishing the margins with caster.

Mick Gibbs managed second place with 44lb 5oz from peg 19, Mick swapped between the pellet feeder and margins with caster. Finishing third on peg 22 with a weight of 40lb 4oz was Mike O’Gorman fishing the margins with maggots and Dave Phillips took fourth place on peg 27 weighing in at 33lb 8oz catching on the pellet feeder.

First place on Trelawney was Colin Mullholland from peg 22; Colin fished the long pole at with chopped worm to the next pallet. Second place on the day was Tony Burt from peg 6, Tony fished the meat short, David Cleaver finished in third place with 56lb 14oz from peg 14 fishing meat short and finishing in fourth place was Kelvin Acton with 53lb 4oz from peg 4 fishing the feeder.
