It is our annual White Acres Ladies Festival this week and the ladies will be fishing on 4 lakes over 4 days which will be Acorn, Twin Oaks, Canal and Bolingey.
The rain from the weekend had stopped when the draw was taking place at 9.00am but by lunchtime the heavens had opened. The rest of the week seems bit hit and miss with Tuesday forecast rain and Wednesday and Thursday looking to brighten up (fingers crossed).
The girls were ready and raring to go this morning and it looks like it’s going to be an exciting week ahead!

Day Four – Bolingey
It’s the final day of the Ladies Festival and the week has been great fun, the girls have been in high spirits and the big weights have been pouring in.
The weather took a turn for the worst as the rain set in, that mixed with the warm temperature made it very muggy and uncomfortable, but that didn’t affect the quality of the fishing.
Here’s how the ladies did on their last day… Gaynor Mills was the lake winner today on Bolingey with 90lb, Gaynor was on peg 7 and fished. Leanne Knott on peg 50 finished in second place weighing in at 65lb 14oz. Finishing third on peg 5 with a weight of 62lb 10oz was Melanie Bates.
|Gaynor Mills||peg 7||7 points||90lb|
|1st||Leanne Knott||24||289lb 13oz|
|2nd||Gaynor Mills||24||233lb 3oz|
|3rd||Melanie Bates||20||190lb 6oz|
|4th||Tracey Holland||15||170lb 11oz|
|5th||Debbie Stevens||12||128lb 7oz|
|6th||Carol Chamberlain||10||118lb 14oz|
|7th||Karen Madeley||7||88lb 10oz|
The points have been really unpredictable, being top one day and bottom the next, making it almost impossible to guess who the overall winner would be. But I’m pleased to announce in first place was Leanne Knott with an overall weight of 289lb 13oz and very closely behind in second place was Gaynor Mills with 233lb 3oz and in third place Melanie Bates had an overall weight of 190lb 6oz.
